Station K opens its doors
Helping the inhabitants of Kourou to prepare for the world of tomorrow. This is the motto of Guyane Connect’, which inaugurated the first Fablab in Kourou on 19 April.
Kourou’s first FabLab, Station K was inaugurated on Monday 19 April, 2 days before it was due to open to the public.
Located in Kourou’s Vieux Bourg, this facility of the Guyane Connect’ association is designed to be accessible to the citizens of Kourou and the Federation of local authorities of the savannahs. It aims to provide project leaders with prototyping resources and tailored support. To do this, Station K provides a shared digital space and modern creative tools.
Guyane Connect’ is a joint initiative by CNES, ArianeGroup, the Local Education Authority and the University of French Guiana. By bringing together stakeholders from institutions, industry and education, it aims to facilitate “working together”.
