Along with many other guests, the ceremony was attended by former French Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira, CESESEG President Ariane Fleurival, Thibault Lechat Vega, 3rd vice-president of the Local Authorities, in charge of Europe, and Françoise Fredoc and Patricia Victor, elected members of the Kourou and Cayenne city councils. Thomas Luglia, Regional Director of Education and representative of the region’s Chief Education Officer, was also among the leading figures in attendance.
Finally, the guests were given an exclusive guided tour of Guyaspace Expérience, led by Marie-Françoise Bahloul and Bianca Iorga, who are both in charge of the renovation project for the former Space Museum, and were treated to an overview of the different activities on offer.
